The best way I can sum up his sound is one time I saw him play a live set at a very small party in an intimate space, and everyone was just chatting. I closed my eyes and focused hard on the sounds he was creating, that increasingly felt like a whirlwind picking up, absorbing more and more of the sound of chatter and swirling it up. By the end he had commanded all the sound in the room and when the cyclone stopped, you could hear a pin drop in that room. It was beautiful.
