Shang was originally a founding member of the now defunct queer rager Pleasuredome and has been a longtime Philly DIY nightlife scenester. You might recall seeing him lurking around Lacquer, Right Aid, Sprinkler Room, or Dust Bunny (RIP all). Currently slicking up the decks monthly for Club Congress alongside DJ Matpat. Shang also hosts a monthly show, Here - I Made This For You, from the Philly-based record store/label/streaming platform Great Circles, where I was a guest back in March. I’m so happy to bring him into the Particle universe and am excited to see what sort of ear treats he brings.
