A deep selector of rare, hypnotic, preternatural sound, they are an obsessively precise producer with an attention to detail in both recorded and live arenas. Host of Ashen Vanity on Great Circles Radio and co-founder of the beloved DIY party Bounce House, Furtive is a name that is known and loved by many, showcased on some of the most prominent systems from the Midwest to the Atlantic. This summer, I was blown away by their set at the inaugural System Activate, where they bared their soul for several hours of liminal, love-soaked, euphoric, time-slowing, nostalgic heartbreak. Outside of our shared affinity for the broader strokes of electronic music, Sasha and I have bonded over our love of old post-rock, metal, and punk.
