Belly Music returns to Particle this week with special guest Vinectomy! The first time I met V at Spatial Awareness several months back, it was clear to me that they are someone who lives for the strange, somatic, and sarcastic. A “Slavic fairy aura,” an ominous yet spiritual club companion with passion for Detroit electronic sounds, eurotrance/dance, and ethereal soundscapes. Vinectomy began DJing in underground queer spaces across the Balkans, eventually making their way back to the States via NYC, LA, and now Philadelphia where they are currently based. In recent time they DJ’d Home Sweet Home earlier this month and also played WKDU’s Freak Flag where they presented an array of Soviet synth and ambient cuts that is certainly worth checking out.
