This year's second installment of Vibrary of Congress pays tribute to a pivotal moment and club in house music lineage that took place in New York City from 1989 to 1995. Nights at Sound Factory were helmed by Junior Vasquez who attracted vogue dancers from the Harlem ballroom community and other diverse pockets of nightlife across the city. Sets that melded tastes from all corners of the stateside scene turned into marathons thanks to extended club hours that stretched into Sunday. I've always loved envisioning myself in a different era of dancefloor experience, and I often find myself time traveling back to the sound of this particular snapshot in time.
