To celebrate our fifth year transmitting music on this planet, we've summoned a group of queer experimentalists for a night of spiritually resonant musical explorations. We're collabing with Lavender Soundsystem for this event at a secret location. 10pm to late. Sweet Abyss organizers Kiernan Laveaux & Malzof make their way to San Diego via Pittsburgh alongside LA live-act and spellbinding duo Aloe F. Dyspheric co-founder Yessi joins Particle FM founder Atrevido for a special b2b and San Diego's #1 tonta, Terra Tontita completes this exciting lineup.

Kiernan Laveaux (The Lot Radio / Sweet Abyss) was once described to us as the perfect person to DJ a party after the end of the world. Operating firmly in Rust Belt and Midwest tradition, Kiernan Laveaux subverts all expectations through arcane technical skill and transportive dancefloor catharsis, honoring the past and thrusting listeners deep into the future. Simply said, KL will rewire the synapses in your brain and at the end of her set you'll be telling yourself, "Damn, I didn't know music could be like this."

Aloe F is a collaborative project between Meredith Guerrero and liia X. Last year we invited multimedia artist Meredith Guerrero to perform at Whistle Stop for an enthralling live set that commanded total attention. Meredith walked around the venue speaking into a wireless mic, while her synthesizers chugged along on stage -- all eyes were on her and the music blew us away. We're excited to have her back with this new project.

We're equally excited to invite Sweet Abyss co-organizer and multimedia artist Malzof whose work has centered trans/queer folks in Pittsburgh and beyond. Heavily influenced by IDM, Ambient, experimental music, breaks, and dance music of all kinds, their sets enchant the dance floor with blissed-out beats, freakyfun vocals, and environmentally enhancing soundscapes, ultimately showcasing their passion for storytelling, sampling, community collaboration, & dancing.
